The Sudanese Minister of Minerals heralds an increase in gold production

The Minister praised the efforts made by the Mineral Resources Company in communicating with companies working in the field of mining until they returned to the country and entered the production stage.

The Minister of Minerals, Muhammad Bashir Abdullah, heralded an increase in the country’s production of gold during the coming period.

He attributed this to the stability that mining sites have witnessed recently as a result of the policies taken by the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited in coordination with the armed forces, the mining security police, and partners in the mining operation.

On Thursday, during his visit to the Mineral Resources Company in the Red Sea State capital of Port Sudan, the Minister of Minerals reviewed the company’s overall performance since the beginning of work during the emergency period.

The Minister of Minerals directed to redouble efforts and facilitate the tasks of investors to increase production and support the national economy at this stage that the country is going through. The Minister listened to detailed reports on the performance of concession producing companies, mining waste companies, and the mining sector.

For his part, the General Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Taher Omar, said that the recent package of measures taken by the company contributed significantly to stabilizing work at mining sites, increasing production and maximizing revenues, pledging to make more efforts to develop the mining sector, and Mohamed Taher renewed his appeal. For companies and investors, it is necessary to work with maximum energy to advance the economy in this period that the country is witnessing.
